CAP SUMMER SERIES: "LIES WE HAVE LOVED"Mantras like “everything happens for a reason” or “God helps those that help themselves” can bring us comfort in times of difficulty, but are they actually Christian ideas? And most of us come to realize at some point that even ‘biblical’ statements like “God has a wonderful plan for your life” or “God only gives us as much as we can handle” may not be true in the way that we had originally thought.This July and August, join Kim and Todd on Sundays in person at Maplewood Flats and on Zoom as we seek to debunk some of our favourite Christian myths and offer foundational Christian truths in our summer series: “Lies We Have Loved”. This Sunday’s lie: “God will only give you as much as you can handle."
