This week, to finish up this short series, Andrea takes a turn going through Jesus’s teaching on the greatest commandment in Mark 12: 28-31. Rather than tying up all the loose ends, she shares some of the things that she is still thinking about in this text, including what standing in solidarity with the other looks like, and acknowledging how difficult it can be in this life-long process of loving God and loving your neighbour.

This week, Kim looks at Jesus’s teaching on the greatest commandment in Mark 12: 28-31. She goes back into the Hebrew Bible to help us understand how Deuteronomy 6 and Leviticus 19 help to shape Jesus' answer; the commandment is not to love, the commandment is to listen. Loving God and loving our neighbour grows as our response to listening and paying attention around us.
