Seeing & Unseeing in John's Gospel – March 22, 2026

Throughout this series, we will journey alongside many in the Gospel of John who do not truly “see” Jesus at first, but eventually come to a new way of “seeing” him. We hope both to recognize more clearly the presence of Jesus in our lives, and to learn what prevents us from recognizing Jesus at work in our midst.
This week, Andrea teaches from John 13, reflecting on Jesus washing the disciples’ feet and what it reveals about who He truly is. Beyond simply calling us to serve, this passage invites us to receive—to allow Jesus to meet us in our vulnerability, to be fully seen and known, and to discover how being served by Christ transforms the way we love and serve others.

We hope both to recognize more clearly the presence of Jesus in our lives, and to learn what prevents us from recognizing Jesus at work in our midst.
This week, Todd teaches from John 11, reflecting on the raising of Lazarus and what it truly means that Jesus is “the resurrection and the life.” Rather than focusing only on the miracle itself, we are invited to see the deeper wonder of a Saviour who enters our grief, stands in solidarity with our sorrow, and reveals that eternal life is not a product to earn but a person to trust.

We hope both to recognize more clearly the presence of Jesus in our lives, and to learn what prevents us from recognizing Jesus at work in our midst.
This week, Andrea reflects on John 5, inviting us to put on our “Jesus glasses” and learn to see as Jesus sees. Through a story of unprovoked grace and those Jesus chooses to see, we are challenged to notice the unseen and trust God’s work, even when it disrupts familiar ways of seeing.

This week, Kim teaches on John 3, inviting us to move beyond the safety of certainty and into a deeper, relational trust in Jesus—one that opens our eyes to the Spirit’s transforming work.

Advent, These Days – Dec 14, 2025

During the four weeks leading up to Christmas we will be waiting with anticipation and preparing our hearts for the arrival of Jesus.
This week, Andrea reflects on an unexpected vision of the nativity—rather than settling for a safe or polished version of Christmas, she invites us to remember that Jesus comes into a broken world, where vulnerability and danger coexist. It encourages us to hold onto the familiar story of the baby in the manger while staying open to the deeper truth that God’s unexpected light is stronger than any darkness.
